Fu Chengyu, the former Party secretary and chairman of Sinopec Group, is undergoing disciplinary review and a supervisory investigation over suspected serious violations of discipline and law. The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision announced the investigation on their website on October 31, 2026.
