A 60-megawatt liquid-air energy storage demonstration project in Golmud, Qinghai Province, has successfully connected to the grid, according to China Green Development Group. Described as the world’s largest, the project marks a major breakthrough in deploying and commercializing the technology and can help absorb 600,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy daily.
