China trends: week of 2026-08-17

What stands out in this dataset

QQ Music contributed the largest number of topic-day records (2,316). A topic appearing on several days is counted once on each observed day in this comparison. This measures collection coverage rather than platform popularity.

Among non-music records, Henan Issues New Paid Leave Policy: Officials Must Lead by Example and Ensure Employees Take Full Leave appeared on 7 recorded days. Different source listings can describe the same event, so topic records are not a count of unique real-world events.

Platform coverage

Topics observed on the most days

Selected recurring records within each topic area, ordered by recorded days, platform count, then most recently first observed. First observed is a collection date, not a publication date. Technology, business and news have separate selections; music-chart records appear below. These selections are not a single overall ranking or verified news summaries.

Music chart records

Music-only records are listed separately and remain included in the complete coverage totals and downloads. Repeated chart entries do not establish continuing public attention.
